Ha Hu selected as the Top 10 Candidate for Swiss Startups and SMEs that are solving global challenges at the IC Awards 2024
The IC (International Cooperation) Awards is an award organized by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), dedicated to acknowledge and celebrate Swiss business organizations, SMEs and start-ups that are helping to make a difference in addressing the global challenges and are in a scale-up phase. 2024’s theme was centered on Peace, inviting innovative projects under the thought-provoking slogan “What is Peace?”. The initiative encouraged entrepreneurs to explore how their solutions could advance peace through social, environmental, or technological impact on a global scale.
We are thrilled to announce that Ha Hu AG, our innovative ed-tech company, was selected among the Top 10 Swiss Startups and SMEs! Being selected among the Top 10 from 22 participating Swiss startups at this prestigious event reinforces our commitment to combating illiteracy and learning poverty through innovative educational solutions. We are honored to be part of this impactful journey!
Why us?
We build a scalable and interactive and gamified digital platform designed to empower native speakers of languages to independently learn how to read and write. Our live prototype currently supports two East African Languages Amharic and Tigrigna with english transliteration. We bring education to life by blending the power of stories, local songs, and engaging games. More than just teaching scripts, Ha Hu develops critical thinking, moral development, and a deeper connection to cultural heritage. We started working on East African languages; however, since we are easily scalable and currently working on our software improvement and scale up to more languages and scripts.
